Reimbursement Clerk - Full-Time

Department: Business Office
HIMG is seeking a competent individual to assist in obtaining payment reimbursement from insurance carriers and other payer sources for services rendered. Duties will include:
• Review denials and aging reports on specific carriers, then take appropriate action with the carrier in an attempt to obtain payment;
• File or re-file claims and provide additional information to the carriers as necessary;
• Assist with projects to reduce the number of denied claims;
• Report improvements or process changes that may aid in ensuring future claims are correctly filed the first time.

A person in this role will be required to work independently while meeting reimbursement quotas. Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate general office computer skills. The ideal candidates will have some prior reimbursement experience or experience working in a medical setting with understanding of insurance and associated terminology. Requires a high school diploma/GED.
HIMG’s Business office offers flexible dayshift hours and our offices are closed on weekends and major holidays.

Certified Medical Assistant - Full-Time

Department: Surgery
Medical Assistant – Full-time (GENERAL SURGERY)
Seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to work in HIMG’s general surgery department. A person in this role may be required to perform both front and back end office duties. Specific responsibilities may include:
• triaging patients,
• obtaining vitals,
• cleaning and stocking patient rooms,
• scheduling patient appointments and physicians' schedules,
• ordering lab work and other tests per provider’s instructions,
• scheduling referrals and surgeries,
• completing patient pre-certifications,
• answering phones, & taking messages.

Must be a graduate of an accredited MA program and either have a current MA certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. Previous experience assisting with procedures or working in a multi-physician practice is preferred, but not required.

Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours; may possibly include one day off per week.

Quality Care Programs Coordinator - Full-Time

Department: Primary Care
Preferred degree in Health Infomatics; or two years’ experience in Quality Care Programs or PCMH strongly preferred

This staff member will be responsible for:
Tracking and reporting quality measure scores and progress to the manager
Meeting with payers with Quality Care programs to review scores, changes and relay issues
Relaying changes in targeted care gaps to managers, staff and providers
Retrieving applicable data from the Intergy system and apply it to the care program requirements
Determining the most efficient way to alert the provider of needed testing for individual patients and implementing that process
Mining data from the patient chart to report to payers and close gaps
Entering Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) data into the payer systems
Tracking AWV appointments to assure all STARS and gap requirements are ordered and that AWV overall goals are met for the year.

HIMG routinely looks for individuals for open/soon to open Registration Clerk positions in our group. These individuals work in a variety of departments and register patients for appointments. Must be able to:
• Verify patient & insurance information, making updates & /or corrections
• Collect payments from patients & provide account balances & issue receipts
• Scan demographic sheet & insurance cards into system
• Post payments to patient account immediately
• Reconcile cash drawer daily

To work in this position, you must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work some weekends in our Nowcare clinic (closes at 3pm) and evenings (up to 7pm). Hours will be approximately 20-25 hours per week, although may be more during peak vacation seasons. Customer services skills including a pleasant, patient focus demeanor is critical for success in this a registration opening.

RN - Endoscopy

Department: Full Time
Seeking a dependable and hardworking registered nurse (RN) to provide nursing support for a variety of physicians in our Endoscopy Department. Duties may may include:
• Assisting physicians with in-office medical procedures;
• Monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer treatments;
• Triaging patients questions/concerns both in office and via telephone;

Department: ULTIMATE Plastic and Reconstructive Suregy
HIMG is seeking a Registered Nurse or LPN to provide assistance to our Board Certified Plastic surgeon and staff in the ULTIMATE Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department in our facility. This individual will be highly organized and detail oriented. They will provide a safe, knowledgeable, compassionate individualized care to all patients.

• Duties may include but are not limit to:
• Manage patient workflow, including obtaining medical history
• Scheduling patients and work with other medical facilities/departments to obtain patient information
• Knowledgeable of products and services for this department
• Serve as patient advocate during patient exams or treatments and answer any questions patients have regarding upcoming procedures

HIMG is offering an exciting opportunity for LPN’s to work with primary care patients who have 2 or more chronic care needs and are obtaining primary care services with HIMG. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Identifying qualifying patients based on program guidelines;
• Discussing health issues with the patients in person and over the phone;
• Working with the physicians and/or established treatment guidelines to create personal care plans for chronic conditions;
• Maintaining documentation of activities as needed by the program guidelines.

Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of Medicare patients and personnel. Time management skills and strong organizational skills are a must. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as have the ability to work alone. Requires 3 or more years of previous nursing experience. Medical Technologist - Full Time

Department: Laboratory
HIMG is looking for an experienced hard working Medical Technologist. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited MLT or MT program, be ASCP certified, and state licensed. Must have a flexible schedule willing and able to work all shifts and rotate weekends.
Duties may include but are not limit to:
1. Conduct lab testing on all specimens submitted to lab for that purpose.
2. Conduct quality control procedures according to established guidelines.
3. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
4. Review and report laboratory results.

Medical Scribe LPN - Full-Time

Department: Primary Care
HIMG is currently looking for an organized and motivated individual to be a Medical Scribe in our Primary Care Department.

This individual must be extensively fluent in computer technology as well as electronic health record systems This individual will assist a physician throughout their shift. The individual will complete paperwork and Electronic Health Record information for the physician. The primary goal of a Medical Scribe is to increase the efficiency and the productivity of the physician they are working for. The Medical Scribe allows the doctor to focus on what is most important, the patient.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Document the physician dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical history
• Document procedures, lab results, dictated radio-graphic impressions made by the supervising physician and any other information pertaining to the patient's encounter

Ophthalmic Tech - Full Time

X-Ray Technician - Per Diem

Department: Radiology
HIMG is looking for an X-Ray technician to support our multi physician practice. An individual in this role must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program, have a current West Virginia License, and be ARRT registered. The position will include weekends.

Duties include, but not limited to:
1. Prepare patients for Radiological procedures.
2. Perform routine Radiological duties and procedures including fluoroscopy.
3. Prepare contrast for barium studies.
4. Follow all radiation safety and rules.
5. Ensure equipment is in working order and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate person.
6. Be familiar with CPT and ICD*10 codes, and their proper usage.
7. Maintain examination room cleanliness.
8. Maintain necessary supplies in exam rooms.

Optician - Part-Time

Department: Optometry
HIMG is seeking a licensed Optician to work in our optometry department as well as our Optical Shop. This positions will be Wenesdays and Fridays from 8:30am-5:30pm. Wednesdays will be a secretarial and registration position in the optometry department and Friday will be a optician in the optical shop.

This individual will assist clients in selecting frames, process all orders for glasses and contacts, maintain records of customer prescriptions, work orders, and payments, recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit client needs, instruct clients on how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses and care for eyeglasses, perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory and sales, submitting patient insurance information, and performing simple bookkeeping, repair damaged frames, arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise, and more. Will help patients register for their appointments, answer the phone, schedule appointments, assist with with patient concerns and more.

Must be flexible to cover to other team members’ vacation time.

Such positions could include clerks in billing, collections, pre-certification, payment posting, charge entry &/or coding. Duties vary based on individual job requirements, but may involve working with billing information, speaking with patients regarding payment plans & bills, obtaining proper insurance authorizations to perform specific medical procedures; posting payments to accounts, ensuring that procedures are coded & posted correctly.
