LPN Scheduler - Surgery - Full Time

Department: Surgery
Seeking a full-time LPN Scheduler in our Surgery clinic.
A person in this role must be able to multi task as well as stay organized.

Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• scheduling patient appointments
• Assists physician with all aspects of the patient visit.
• Performs select clinical testing, but not limited to: urinalysis, urine culture and sensitivity, bladder scans, etc.
• Observes, records, and reports changes in patient’s condition.
• Completion of FMLA paperwork
• ordering lab work and other tests per provider’s instructions,
• completing patient pre-certifications,
• answering phones, and taking messages.

This position will be Monday-Friday dayshift though hours may vary. It requires teamwork and excellent communication, as it will be working with a team that includes medical assistants, secretarial support and providers.

A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an LPN is preferred; preference also given to candidates with exposure to electronic health record systems and experience in specialty clinics. Valid WV LPN license required.

Medical Secretary - EP Charleston - Full Time

Histology Tech - Laboratory

Department: Full time
HIMG is seek a full time Histp;pgy Tech for our in house lab.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Performs histological procedures on body tissue which includes processing, embedding, staining (routine H & E, special and IHC), and cover-slipping.
• Additional responsibilities include accessioning, specimen storage, report storage, and clerical functions.
• Maintenance of equipment to include changing solutions on tissue processor as recommended by manufacturer.
• General cleaning of laboratory to pass any unannounced inspections.
• Daily changing of reagents on staining equipment.
• Quality control and record keeping for histology lab.
Data entry into laboratory information system for gross specimen analysis and staining information.

Medical Technologist - Lab - Variable Hours - Laboratory

Medical Technologist - Full Time Variable Hours
HIMG is looking for a Medical Technologist for our in-house lab. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited MLT or MT program, be ASCP certified, and state licensed. Must have a flexible schedule willing and able to work all shifts and rotate weekends.
Duties may include but are not limit to:
1. Conduct lab testing on all specimens submitted to lab for that purpose.
2. Conduct quality control procedures according to established guidelines.
3. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
4. Review and report laboratory results.
5. Participate in laboratory proficiency testing program as assigned.
6. Prepare specimens for shipment to reference laboratories.
7. Document all technical activities performed.

Medical Scribe - Full time

HIMG is currently looking for an organized and motivated individual to be a Medical Scribe in our Primary Care Department.

This individual must be extensively fluent in computer technology as well as electronic health record systems This individual will assist a physician throughout their shift. The individual will complete paperwork and Electronic Health Record information for the physician. The primary goal of a Medical Scribe is to increase the efficiency and the productivity of the physician they are working for. The Medical Scribe allows the doctor to focus on what is most important, the patient.

o Document the physician dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical history
o Document procedures, lab results, dictated radio-graphic impressions made by the supervising physician and any other information pertaining to the patient encounter

Chronic Care LPN - Full Time

Department: Internal Medicine
HIMG is seeking an LPN to work with primary care patients who have 2 or more chronic care needs and are obtaining primary care services with HIMG. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Identifying qualifying patients based on program guidelines;
o Discussing health issues with the patients in person and over the phone;
o Working with the physicians and/or established treatment guidelines to create personal care plans for chronic conditions;
o Maintaining documentation of activities as needed by the program guidelines.

Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of Medicare patients and personnel. Time management skills and strong organizational skills are a must. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as have the ability to work alone. Requires 2 or more years of previous nursing experience. Must be able to produce a valid current WV nursing license.

Such positions could include billing clerks, collections, pre-certification clerks, payment posting clerks, charge entry clerks or coders. Duties vary based on the individual requirements of the job, but may involve working with billing information, speaking with patients regarding payment plans and bills, obtaining proper insurance authorizations to perform specific medical procedures; posting payments to accounts, ensuring that procedures are coded and posted correctly.

Pre-Certification Billing Clerk - Full Time

Department: Oncology
The Oncology department at HIMG is look for an experienced hard working Pre certification clerk.
This is a full time position.
This individual will assist with billing and insurance pre-certifications for a fast-paced medical office. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Obtain proper insurance authorizations to perform specific medical procedures associated with oncology treatment.
• Work through denials and advising providers of any “off label” use that may not be reimbursed.
• Oversees financial matters related to chemotherapy and related treatment, by capturing charges, collecting payments,, monitoring account balances, and reconciling claims.
• Investigates third party reimbursement opportunities through indigent and co-pay assistance plans. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and insurance carriers and similar.

• Must have strong knowledge of Coding

• Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate keyboarding/data entry and clerical skills. .

Radiology Technologist - Part Time
